DAG 4:
Create phase
Game title: PsyKiosk
Team name: 404 Fairness not found
- Our name reflects our core theme: questioning fairness and challenging the idea of justice in an unpredictable world.
Game Description:
PsyKiosk is a point-and-click morality adventure that forces players to make difficult ethical choices—only to realize that no matter their actions, the end result is the same. The game provokes thought about fairness, ethics, and the illusion of choice, engaging players in a narrative where morality is not black and white.
Cultural Heritage, Values & Themes:
Our game is built around European values of ethics, morals, and rule of law, challenging the player’s perception of fairness. The game’s core mechanic—the illusion of choice—forces players to confront the uncomfortable truth that fairness is often subjective and predetermined by external forces.
Gameplay experience:
PsyKiosk stands out by using psychological tension in decision-making. Instead of rewarding “good” or “bad” choices, the game highlights moral ambiguity. Through aesthetic and interactive elements, we distort the player’s expectations, making them question their own values.
Player Experience:
PsyKiosk is designed to frustrate and provoke, forcing players to rethink fairness and morality. By playing, they experience disempowerment, mimicking real-world injustices. The game empowers young people by making them reflect on how societal structures shape their choices.
Aesthetics: We take inspiration from psychedelic, futuristic aesthetics and culture clash themes, blending neon visuals with unsettling contrasts.
- Inspiration from Freeman & Lowe, “Colony Sound” installation at Aros.
We want to create a world that blends pixel-art, photo-realism, and cartoonish elements to create a fragmented, unpredictable visual style.
Storytelling: Minimalist storytelling that lets players interpret morality.
Design: UI and interactions reflect psychological discomfort.
Game Intro:
In this world, fairness is an illusion. You stop by a kiosk on your way home—just a normal night, until a stranger asks for your help. Steal? Distract? Ignore? The choice is yours… but what is fair, what makes a person good?

How far will your morals bend in an unfair world?
"The choices you made. The path you took. Did it lead to fairness? "What is fair?"
404 Fairness Not Found In a world where right and wrong are uncertain, how do you define fairness?
Thank you for playing. What will you do next?
